The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Strategic Customer Success or Key Account Management, preferably within high-growth B2B SaaS startups. A proven track record of managing a few large, complex accounts with $1M+ in ARR or equivalent scope is essential. Candidates should possess a consultative approach, be skilled at working with all business levels to understand goals and deliver outcomes, and be comfortable navigating ambiguity while taking ownership. Excellent cross-functional communication skills are necessary for influencing internal teams, and comfort with weekly local travel for in-person meetings is required.
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for driving growth and retention by prospecting, developing, and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities, as well as contract renewals. They will engage in strategic account planning, partnering with EvenUp product and executive teams to develop and execute long-term success plans aligned with customer objectives. This role involves owning a portfolio of 5-10 key accounts, ensuring personalized, high-touch support and strategic guidance. A significant part of the role includes on-site client engagement at least once a week to build trust and ensure alignment, and acting as an outcome-focused advocate for customer needs by providing insights to Product, Finance, and Engineering teams to improve offerings.
