Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a three-five year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; and taste or smell
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds due to product demonstrations

Responsibilities
Sell and promote the company’s products to assigned accounts via outbound proactive telephone calls
Assist in the development of new and major accounts with outside sales personnel
Administer the day-to-day functional operations of a regional warehouse under the direction of the Sales Manager
Develop sales forecast for assigned territories
Develop and establish goals and standards of performance for assigned territories along with Field Sales Representative and Regional Sales Director
Achieve determined sales forecasts, objectives, and goals in assigned territories
Execute requests for quotation from customers and prospects, according to the Sales Manager's guidelines
Negotiate freight rates and tariffs, route traffic, trace shipments, obtain proof of delivery, and file freight claims
Develop call reports as required for specific accounts and/or products
Initiate follow-up to screen leads derived from advertising and trade shows
Resolve any and all problems with assigned accounts and assist with the resolution of any/all problems with major accounts assigned to outside sales
Effectively communicate customer need dates to customer service and production control
Analyze, control, and administer product pricing in line with the Sales Manager's recommendations
Process customer returns and requests for credit
Communicate competitive activities to the Sales Manager
Communicate technical information between customers and Nelson Engineering Group
Attend trade associate meetings in conjunction with customer base, i.e., AWS, Steel Fabricators Association
Contact outside vendors for services, price, delivery, and request issuance of purchase orders
Operate assigned territory within budget guidelines
