Sales Development Representative - SpendHound

Position Overview

YipitData is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team and drive growth for SpendHound, a free software renewal management platform. This role is crucial for outbound client engagement within the Spend Management space. As an SDR, you will identify prospective opportunities and initiate sales engagement through various outbound communication channels. This position offers a clear path for career advancement towards full end-to-end sales.

This is a remote-friendly opportunity. While the role can be based in NYC (headquarters), our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle), or anywhere else in the US, please note that income may be subject to New York State tax withholding depending on the work location. YipitData offers NYC-based salaries for all US roles, irrespective of the employee's chosen work location.

SpendHound is a recently launched, 100% free software renewal management platform and service by YipitData. It serves as the single source of truth for companies' renewal information, offering:

  • A comprehensive view of all software applications, including annual contract values, auto-renewal details, renewal dates, and license counts.
  • An integrated invoice and contract management system for storing important documents.
  • Renewal reminders via email and Slack to prevent missed deadlines.
  • Complimentary advice from procurement experts on price benchmarking and negotiation strategies for upcoming renewals.

Companies leverage SpendHound to save both time and money on their software renewals. The platform is free for customers because their data is de-identified, aggregated, and utilized for YipitData's market research (example report).

Responsibilities

As our Sales Development Representative, you will:

  • Employ outbound sales techniques across multiple communication channels, including cold calling, cold emailing, and LinkedIn messaging.
  • Generate interest and secure meetings with Finance, Operations, and IT leaders for our valuable, free software renewal management product.
  • Develop proficiency with modern sales technology stacks such as Salesforce, Groove, Aircall, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo.
  • Collaborate closely with a Sales Development Manager, Enablement Manager, and the Head of Sales to hone your sales skills.
  • Contribute to refining sales messaging to enhance effectiveness.

Requirements

You are likely to succeed in this role if you:

  • Possess 1+ years of work experience in a high-velocity sales environment, with a proven track record as a top-performing SDR/BDR.
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in English within a business context.
  • Have experience successfully selling for a U.S.-based Tech company to U.S. prospects, with a strong emphasis on cold-calling.
  • Have a history of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exhibit empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and high emotional intelligence.
