Eventbrite is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive demand and generate interest in their platform for event organizers across EMEA. This role is crucial for creating a pipeline of business for the Business Development Managers. The Business Development Representative will engage with a diverse range of event organizers, from music festivals to conferences, understanding their unique needs and presenting Eventbrite as a solution. The role offers continuous learning and career growth opportunities within a supportive team environment.

The Team

The Business Development team is composed of individuals with varied backgrounds, including experienced business development professionals, sellers, and former musicians and event heads. Their primary responsibility is to initiate conversations and generate qualified leads for Business Development Managers, converting various event organizers into successful Eventbrite customers.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you will be the initial point of contact for prospective clients. This involves conducting full discovery calls to understand client goals and pain points, and assessing if Eventbrite is a suitable solution. Success in this role requires the ability to comprehend diverse business needs, demonstrate quick thinking, and effectively handle objections with grit and resilience. You will become an expert in the event industry and Eventbrite's offerings, utilizing your persuasive skills and competitive drive to identify and document qualified opportunities for the Business Development Management team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a sales/commercial role within a fast-paced environment.
  • Fearless ability to proactively engage new clients.
  • Consultative business development approach and the skill to maintain control of conversations.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions passionately and clearly.
  • Aptitude for asking effective questions to uncover prospect's current process challenges.
  • Solid understanding of qualifying buyer interest and identifying target customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-player attitude with a desire to contribute to internal process improvements.

  • Experience with cold-calling.
