Role Overview

Tellius, Inc. is seeking a strategic Business Development Manager to lead and scale our BDR operations. This role is crucial for penetrating new markets and ensuring the effective execution of both inbound and outbound sales efforts. As a BDR Manager, you will be instrumental in coaching and mentoring the BDR team, driving growth, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing BDR team to generate qualified sales opportunities.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement outbound and inbound sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Pipeline Building: Identify, qualify, and nurture potential leads to create a robust sales pipeline.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure smooth lead handoffs and alignment of business development efforts.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve business development processes to enhance efficiency and impact.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance metrics and utilize data-driven insights to guide decision-making and strategy.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and coach a team.
  • Proven track record of building and executing successful outbound sales campaigns, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze sales data to identify trends and optimize performance.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions and company priorities.
  • A self-starter with high initiative and a passion for driving results.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a SaaS or AI-driven business environment is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the target market, industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with marketing, sales, and product teams.
