The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of relevant lead generation experience within an eCommerce brand or agency, with a preference for wellness and DTC backgrounds. A deep understanding of performance marketing and the ability to work towards revenue, sales, and efficiency goals are essential. This role requires at least 4 years of experience in hiring, coaching, and leading high-performing teams, along with proven experience managing teams and agency partners. Hands-on experience with ESPs, SMS platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Attentive), affiliate platforms (e.g., Impact), and direct mail is necessary. The candidate must be skilled in managing and tracking budgets, identifying revenue drivers, and have a proven track record of delivering measurable results in performance and consideration metrics. Proficiency in working with and analyzing large datasets quickly is also required.
This role involves owning and leading the strategy for new customer acquisition through email, SMS, affiliate, and direct mail programs. The Director will develop and manage the lead capture funnel, overseeing opt-in tactics, nurture flows, and conversion processes. They will manage agency partners and one direct report to drive channel execution, reporting, and experimentation, while partnering closely with the lifecycle team to ensure clear distinction between acquisition and retention messaging. Key responsibilities include leading all affiliate acquisition efforts, overseeing the execution of email and SMS acquisition campaigns, and building/optimizing direct mail programs. The Director will also be responsible for developing and presenting reports, managing budgets, forecasts, and performance KPIs, continuously testing creative, offers, and messaging, and collaborating with digital, creative, and data teams. Designing and implementing a testing roadmap across all channels to optimize campaign performance and quickly iterating on strategies based on real-time data are also crucial. Lastly, the role requires socializing learnings, best practices, and operating procedures across teams, and staying up-to-date with channel trends.
