Candidates should possess a CFA, CAIA, or a strong academic finance background. A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in Asset Management sales, ideally with a foreign asset manager and a strong track record in raising assets, particularly within the advisory channel, is essential. Fluency in both Spanish and English is mandatory. A hunter mentality with a strong drive and track record in client activation and new business generation, high tolerance for managing rejection, and self-driven ability to work towards objectives are also required. Strong presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are necessary.
The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining lasting relationships with key clients to achieve sales objectives and identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through fund placement and subadvisory partnerships. This role involves conducting regular client meetings, demonstrating initiative in client engagement and sales campaigns, and collaborating with the wider sales team to provide clients with fund information and necessary documentation. Maintaining strong working relationships with local and international teams, including other internal stakeholders, and supporting the line manager in business growth by translating strategic decisions into actionable projects are key duties. The position also requires keeping Salesforce updated with client interactions and pipeline management, and collaborating with the Conducting Officer in the Luxembourg team.
