The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in sales and/or channels, with at least 5 years specifically in a Channel Sales role within an IT services organization. Five or more years of channel experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required, along with a strong understanding of sales methodologies in a channel context. A proven track record of achieving revenue growth through channel and partner programs, experience driving leads, and building out channel strategies in a high-growth company are essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment is also necessary.
The Channel Sales Director will develop, nurture, and expand a diverse network of channel partners, including resellers, distributors, system integrators, advisors, and technology alliances. Responsibilities include meeting and exceeding bookings targets through channel sales programs and strategic partnerships, and collaborating with sales leadership to align channel programs with direct sales efforts and business objectives. The role involves implementing partner programs, incentives, and enablement tools, as well as developing training and marketing resources to enhance partner capabilities. Building strong relationships with key partners, serving as a trusted advisor, and regularly engaging with them to understand needs and address challenges are crucial. The director will also work closely with sales, marketing, and service delivery teams to ensure channel initiatives align with company goals, and collaborate with marketing on demand generation programs. Monitoring and analyzing channel performance metrics, providing regular updates to executive leadership, and using data-driven insights to refine channel strategies and identify growth opportunities are also key duties.
