Requirements

Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven history of leading inside or direct-to-consumer sales teams to exceed aggressive revenue targets. Experience managing and growing sales teams of 10+ people, with demonstrated success in coaching and motivating representatives, is essential. A deep understanding of sales operations, pipeline management, and forecasting, coupled with strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach, is required. Excellent communication and leadership abilities are necessary to inspire, set high standards, and lead from the front. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities is crucial. Experience in consumer services or project-based sales is a plus, and a passion for design, home improvement, sustainability, and Yardzen's mission is a strong bonus.

Responsibilities

The VP of Sales & Revenue will lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals. This includes setting clear performance expectations, establishing quotas, and holding the team accountable to metrics. The role involves building a strong sales culture grounded in coaching, motivation, and results, and implementing/refining sales processes, tools, and reporting to drive efficiency and transparency. Responsibilities include managing the full sales funnel, from lead distribution and pipeline health to conversion rates and close rates. Collaboration with Marketing for lead flow and demand generation alignment, and partnership with Finance on forecasting, reporting, and quota setting are key. The VP will also recruit, hire, and onboard top sales talent, monitor performance data for continuous improvement, and represent the sales team's needs to leadership.
