The Growth Sales Representative is an individual contributor focusing on renewing, up-selling, and cross-selling contracts for an assigned territory through multiple channels (direct and through partners). This role will focus on managing existing named accounts and driving retention and expansion at the time of renewal. Success in this role is achieved by ensuring customer awareness and utilization of existing products, proactive outreach to identify expansion opportunities, and through close collaboration with our partner ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory of approximately 60 existing Alteryx Customers through their customer lifecycle, focusing on ongoing renewal and expansion. This includes running business value justification meetings, navigating complex procurement processes, and negotiating timely renewals with expansion.
  • Possess strong business acumen to understand business case fundamentals, with the ability to capture and articulate ROI to the C-Suite and internal leadership.
  • Effectively network and expand relationships with executives and senior business sponsors to identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding and executing against the customer’s business goals and objectives.
  • Accurately forecast projected revenue attainment to sales management on a weekly basis.
  • Recognize and escalate difficult technical or business issues within Sales, Customer Support, and other parts of the organization to work towards a solution that results in prompt sales closure and optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Take a proactive approach in growing software usage and enabling customer success through product education, new feature introduction, use-case development, account reviews, escalated support needs, or other interface opportunities.
  • Leverage the full Alteryx Alliances and Channels Ecosystem to execute on Go-to-Market Plans, driving pre-sales, sales, retention, expansion, and customer enablement capabilities through co-sell and re-sell motions.
  • Expected to travel up to 25% of the time, visiting customer offices and attending internal conferences and meetings.
  • Expected to maintain a 3X pipeline coverage, a monthly forecast, and consistently achieve quarterly quotas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Account Executive.
  • 2+ years of relative industry experience.
  • Expertise in SaaS retention and sales processes.
  • Excellent knowledge of value-driven sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve resolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in building strong relationships with a wide variety of personas such as business users, management, IT, and executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership by tackling problems and taking independent action.
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and ability to influence and effectively navigate objections to achieve win-win customer outcomes.
