Technical Project Manager

Position Overview

Rockerbox is seeking a Technical Project Manager to drive operational excellence in our customer onboarding process. This role focuses on orchestrating fast-paced, cross-functional onboarding efforts, ensuring timelines are met, blockers are surfaced, and customers feel confident and supported. You will manage trackers, align internal stakeholders, communicate with customers, and create systems to make onboarding more efficient, predictable, and scalable. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys customer-facing interactions, and wants to build the structure for world-class onboarding at a growing startup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and continuously improve onboarding project plans and status trackers across MTA and MMM implementations.
  • Own timeline management and progress tracking across onboarding workstreams.
  • Coordinate across internal teams—Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Professional Services—to keep milestones on track.
  • Lead customer-facing onboarding status calls, bringing in the right internal experts to speak to technical details as needed.
  • Own all customer communications related to project timelines, status updates, and open items.
  • Align onboarding timelines with customer teams based on their internal resourcing and priorities.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks or blockers to ensure momentum is maintained.
  • Design and refine the systems, workflows, and documentation that support scalable, high-quality onboarding.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a technical project management role in a customer-facing capacity.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; you're meticulous about follow-ups.
  • Communication: Clear, confident communicator—both written and verbal—with a knack for managing expectations and building trust.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable working with technical products and asking clarifying questions to resolve ambiguity.
  • System Improvement: Excited to build and improve systems; you contribute to writing the playbook.
  • Collaboration: Collaborative team player who works well across functions.
  • Technical Skills: Basic Excel/Google Sheets skills required.
  • Preferred: Martech or adtech experience is a strong plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: The estimated salary range for this role is between $86,000 - $149,000. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, level, skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
  • Additional Compensation: This role is eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable) and equity.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package included.
