Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect

We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic individual with a strong IT background in large enterprise organizations to join us as a Sales Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site and web-based discussions and formal presentations to broad audiences.
• Actively participate at trade shows, seminars, and speaking engagements.
• Identify new business opportunities.
• Take the technical lead in responding to proposals and RFPs.
• Provide technical pre-sales support during the evaluation of BlueCat’s solution.
• Consult on solution architecture within the context of the client’s network infrastructure and business goals.
• Design solution architectures using BlueCat and related technologies (F5/Citrix/VCO).
• Provide feedback to Product Management on product functionality and future enhancements.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to audiences of varying levels.
• Ability to understand customer objectives, ask pertinent questions, and control conversations.
• Outstanding presentation and selling skills.
• 4+ years of experience in a Network, Security, Virtualization, or Cloud Systems Sales Engineer role.
• Good network system administration experience.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience designing solution architectures for enterprise software, networking, virtualization, cloud, security, or systems integration companies.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and LAN/WAN design.
• Intermediate scripting skills and experience in programming languages such as Python and/or Perl.
• Knowledge of managing DNS and DHCP on Windows Server.
• Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX platforms is an advantage.
