Job Description: Solution Design Lead (Acute & Payer)

Position Overview

In partnership with internal teams including Sales, Professional Services, Product, Marketing, and Success, you will engage healthcare organizations. Your focus will be on demonstrating how the PointClickCare network and products provide differential value in coordinating care for their members/patients, improving population health outcomes (such as readmissions or utilization trends), and reducing unnecessary healthcare costs. This role supports our mission to help every provider deliver exceptional care.

This position will lead and support the Acute and Payer (A&P) Solution Design team, providing expertise on our solutions and industry subject matter to external and internal stakeholders.

Reports to: Sr. Director Solution Design Travel: Approximately 35-40%


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Solution Design Team: Provide product and healthcare subject matter expertise for acute care providers (hospitals, primary care, and behavioral health providers), risk-bearing entities (RBEs like Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and Health Plans), and post-acute expertise across the company to drive client value realization and sales targets.
  • Cross-Functional Relationships: Develop and continually strengthen working relationships with other cross-functional team members and leaders, with significant emphasis on the entire customer journey.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the Sales team to understand prospective customer needs and effectively pitch our products, emphasizing relevant value propositions and use cases. Support the smooth transition of customer contracts and onboarding to professional services.
  • Product & Marketing Partnership: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Product Marketing to understand and deliver internal and external messaging to key stakeholders, supporting increased engagement and adoption of our network and solutions. This engagement occurs virtually, via client onsite visits, and at events (conferences, webinars, etc.).
  • Customer Advocacy: Represent the voice of the customer throughout the client journey to help innovate around use cases, engagement, and synergies between acute, post-acute, ambulatory, and payer landscapes.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • Clinical (RN, NP, LCSW, PT) background and/or 5+ years of direct healthcare experience within an ACO, Provider Organization, or Health Plan.
  • Deep operational understanding of cross-continuum care collaboration workflows and alternative payment models, including value-based care.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology, including electronic health records, care management, and population health systems/tools.
  • Executive presence and strong presentation skills.
  • Easy access to an airport and ability to travel across the US and Canada.
  • Strong relationship-building and maintenance skills, both internally and externally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • People Leadership – Willingness and proven capabilities for 2+ years.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $140,000 - $165,000 per year

At PointClickCare, base salary is one of many components that make up our total rewards package. The US base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $165,000, plus bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Individual compensation within the range is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience (including professional and lived experience), and/or work location.
