Position Overview

Zip is seeking an Enterprise Solution Engineer to serve as the primary pre-sales technical point of contact for the Zip solution suite. As a champion for Zip, you will help prospects understand the value our application delivers and how it integrates with their existing procurement and technical landscape. You will be a key partner in the sales process, collaborating with account executives and sales managers to drive deals to closure. You will act as a trusted advisor, instilling confidence in prospects that Zip can address their pain points and ensuring a smooth transition to post-sales solutions consultants for successful deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to Zip’s sales efforts by supporting prospective customer-facing conversations.
  • Effectively conduct discovery, demonstrate solutions, handle questions, and overcome objections to highlight Zip's value proposition.
  • Own responsibility for responding to customer requests, including follow-up questions, demos, RFx, and IT security questionnaires.
  • Build and develop custom demos tailored to specific customer requirements.
  • Lead, scope, and partner with Post-Sales teams to deliver Proofs of Concept (POCs).
  • Partner with the Sales team to achieve sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with Post-Sales Solutions Consultants to ensure a seamless transition from sale to onboarding, effectively communicating customer needs and objectives.
  • Provide feedback to influence and improve internal processes and products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a solution selling environment or a similar role with transferable skills.
  • Proven experience selling to F500 clients and engaging with cross-functional decision-makers, including C-level executives.
  • Strong solution selling skills, with the ability to articulate the value of software solutions and focus messaging on how a solution addresses core customer pain points in a differentiated manner.
  • Familiarity with the procurement and billing/AP space.
  • Excellent discovery skills, with the ability to lead focused conversations to uncover pain points, value, and sales opportunities.
  • Knowledge of key principles of software.
