Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate Corporate Sales Engineer to join our team and help change the perception of endpoint security. This role focuses on the pre-sales process within the Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) segment, partnering with Account Executives to acquire new customers.

About the Role

As a Corporate Sales Engineer, you will become an expert in the endpoint security space, articulating the value of CrowdStrike's solutions. You will learn to explain how current security solutions are deployed, identify their shortcomings, and demonstrate how CrowdStrike provides superior value to potential customers. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that is redefining what's possible in next-generation endpoint technology.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: Be the expert in the endpoint security space, including but not limited to AV, EDR, incident response, forensics, SIEM, firewall, and HIPS/IDS.
  • Customer Engagement: Articulate basic security problems and solutions to various audiences, including C-level executives.
  • Sales Collaboration: Partner effectively with Account Executives, Sales, Marketing, Support, and Engineering teams, acting as the technical bridge between CrowdStrike and prospects/customers.
  • Demonstrations & Proofs of Value: Conduct compelling demonstrations and proofs of value (POVs).
  • Problem Solving: Understand and articulate how current security solutions are designed, deployed, and why they may be failing.
  • Independent Work: Demonstrate strong self-starter abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Time Management: Utilize effective time management and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in technical studies.
  • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience in IT, security, system engineering/administration, or sales engineering.
  • Operating Systems: Comprehensive understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Security Knowledge: Knowledge of malware, threat intelligence, and/or sandbox analysis.
  • Scripting: Ability to write and modify basic scripts. Preferred languages include PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
  • Customer Facing: Customer-facing experience and comfort leading presentations.
  • Travel: Ability to travel minimally as required (potentially once a year for annual Sales Kickoff Event).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with virtualization/VDI technologies.
  • Experience with large-scale cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Proficient understanding of Active Directory.
  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, OSCP, and SANS, or participation in security events like capture the flag.
