Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering. Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining tools and systems that support service reliability is required, along with a deep understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, and efficiency in distributed systems. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform, and Kubernetes is essential, as well as experience administering cloud-based infrastructure, preferably GCP. Candidates should also have skills in troubleshooting production issues related to cloud infrastructure, configuration, monitoring, deployments, and continuous integration and delivery.

Responsibilities

The Senior Platform Engineer will collaborate with product and engineering teams to define clear requirements and translate them into software solutions. They will be a core contributor to implementing foundational infrastructure, tooling, and automation that are scalable, reliable, and secure. The role involves elevating site reliability engineering best practices while working with back-end developers, developing service-level tooling to enhance productionization, data migrations, and system hardening. Additionally, the engineer will manage and optimize a multi-region environment and be available for on-call activities for infrastructure and services.
