Requirements

Candidates should have 10+ years of experience as an infrastructure engineer, with hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure in cloud environments like AWS, GCP, and Azure, specifically within GovCloud or air-gapped settings. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible, experience operating container-based workloads with Kubernetes, and scripting/automation skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript are required. Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure architectures aligned with security and compliance standards, including audit support, is also necessary. A US citizenship is mandatory, and an active government security clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Staff Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and operate secure and scalable infrastructure for multimodal foundation models and indexing platforms in GovCloud or air-gapped environments. This includes automating deployments with Terraform and Ansible, establishing CI/CD and software-supply-chain controls, and delivering robust observability and incident response. Responsibilities also involve optimizing for security, compliance, and efficiency, standing up observability with clear SLOs and actionable alerting, owning incident response playbooks, and building air-gapped delivery pipelines with signed artifacts and SBOMs for software-supply-chain integrity.
