Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering experience in complex system development in the consumer-facing technology industry, with at least 3 years leading large, complex engineering programs in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong technical background with demonstrated expertise in electromechanical systems, electronics, power, and firmware/software integration
  • Proven success in leading system-level technical execution for large-scale, cross-disciplinary engineering programs
  • Proven ability to engage and influence technical direction, balancing details with system-level decision-making
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to executives, engineers, and external partners
  • Track record of navigating ambiguity and competing priorities, driving programs to successful delivery
  • Experience in micro-mobility, automotive, robotics, or related electromechanical industries. (preferred)
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in at least one technical discipline, able to bridge multiple domains. (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical alignment by facilitating architecture discussions, system design reviews, and trade-off decisions across cross-functional partners
  • Own system integration strategy—ensuring subsystems (mechanical, electrical, firmware, software) align to deliver reliable, high-quality products
  • Provide clarity on the technical program status for stakeholders, balancing technical depth with strategic insight
  • Mentor engineers and program managers, providing guidance on technical execution and cross-disciplinary problem-solving
  • Identify and mitigate systemic risks, navigating ambiguity to keep teams focused on program outcomes
  • Champion continuous improvement in engineering processes, integration practices, and program execution frameworks
  • Balance program priorities across cost, schedule, and quality while ensuring long-term technical scalability and innovation
