[Remote] Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Kraken

The Lead Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and scalability of products on the platform, leading technical teams that support products serving millions of customers. This includes keeping up with best practices in building products for scale, pinpointing areas for enhancement, ensuring optimal product performance, and continuously improving platform reliability and efficiency. Responsibilities include owning the Product Reliability team, defining strategic objectives, managing team priorities, and ensuring initiatives are completed on time. The role involves collaborating with the Staff Platform Engineer for technical implementation, leading major initiatives, and partnering within the wider Platform Engineering team. Building a strong culture of open communication and managing direct reports by setting clear performance expectations, reviewing performance, and providing constructive feedback are also key duties. Technical delivery includes implementing improvements, bug fixes, conducting code reviews, providing architectural guidance, and supporting service offerings owned by the team.
