Requirements

Candidates must possess 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including designing, building, and operating critical services at scale. Proven experience building large-scale infrastructure with a deep understanding of high-throughput, reliable distributed systems, expertise in Python, Go, or a similar language, and strong experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) are also required. Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept to production is essential.

Responsibilities

The Principal Software Engineer will architect and lead the development of highly scalable, distributed infrastructure services on Kubernetes. They will set the technical vision and roadmap for the team, making high-impact decisions to accelerate AV development. Responsibilities include mentoring and guiding other engineers through design reviews and pair programming, and getting hands-on to build and deploy complex platform components, such as high-throughput data processing services and core compute orchestration.
