Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in a quota-carrying, full-cycle closing role in B2B SaaS, fintech, or API sales. A strong understanding of fintech infrastructure, underwriting models, payments automation, and financial data integrations is essential. Experience in selling to risk, credit, product, and engineering teams within financial institutions and fintech companies is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and be data-driven with a comfort in discussing API-based products, integrations, and technical workflows. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment are also necessary, along with a requirement to be based in NYC and work in person at the Flatiron office.
The Senior Account Executive will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, specifically targeting fintechs, neobanks, and banks that are building SMB financial products. They will engage with C-suite executives, risk leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to understand their needs and present Rutter’s solutions. Developing a deep understanding of how financial data improves underwriting models, payments automation, and financial workflows is crucial. The role also involves working closely with the GTM team to refine outreach, messaging, and lead qualification for high-intent prospects. Additionally, the Senior Account Executive will provide market insights and feedback to product and partnerships teams to help shape Rutter’s offerings, and they will negotiate contracts, structure partnerships, and manage legal and compliance discussions to close deals efficiently.
