Sales Manager, Rehabilitation and Replacement (R&R)

Position Overview

The Sales Manager for Rehabilitation and Replacement (R&R) reports to the Sr. Sales Manager and is responsible for leading our regional West Coast team for our mainline business. This role maximizes R&R sales capacity and regional success by collaborating closely with Regional Managers, Market Development, Product Support, and Customer Finance partnerships. The Sales Manager will help develop and implement strategic factory programs to drive direct sales. This individual is also responsible for fostering positive and mutually beneficial business relationships between HammerHead and its customers, conducting all activities with the highest degree of integrity, efficiency, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a dedicated team of regional managers.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives and goals for R&R mainline business.
  • Directly manage major and critical accounts to maximize and grow sales opportunities with assigned teams.
  • Actively participate in monthly sales meetings, forecast meetings, product meetings, and market share analysis.
  • Gather and communicate monthly market, customer, and product intelligence to appropriate personnel and groups within the company.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all products marketed by the company and use this knowledge to implement and communicate all programs and promotions to maximize sales and market share within the team's regions.
  • Set sales performance and individual goals for the team and leverage the entire company's organization to achieve them.
  • Follow up on lead generation from marketing and inside sales teams by working closely with the team and involving RSMs when needed.
  • Provide daily/weekly input on all pipeline activity (opportunities) and manage the stages of deals on mainline products with the team.
  • Lead and manage forecasting for mainline products and mainline rental fleet products.
  • Manage expenses at or below budgeted levels.

Other Job-Related Components

  • Domestic air and highway travel.
  • Travel requirements estimated at 50% overnight travel.
  • Reside within your team’s region and maintain a home office.
  • Regular extended use of the telephone and computer.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, and batteries.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales and/or the industry required.
  • Valid US driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans and comprehensive sales programs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to make effective group presentations.
  • Ability to develop and adhere to a department budget.
  • Proficiency in correspondence, record keeping, and PC skills (particularly word processing and spreadsheet applications).
  • Demonstrated record of working in close collaborative team environments with various functions within an organization to lead and drive successful results.
