The Sales Manager should possess a strong sales acumen, understand that building trust and rapport with our pros is essential for a long term relationship, and have at least 3 years of cold-calling/outbound sales and 2-3 years of people management experience handling a sales team. They must be expert at solution-based selling through aligning prospect goals, needs and problems to product solutions, have a collaborative attitude to share techniques and success with the team, and experience with CRM and sales tools, preferably Salesforce. Additionally, they must be able to multitask, be detail oriented, stay organized, and be available for the team during shift.
The Sales Manager will help recruit, onboard, train and manage SDRs or AEs, coach them to hit KPIs and remove sales obstacles, design and optimize the sales pitch, maintain high team morale, set & achieving goals both as a team, provide feedback to Sales Leadership, Sales Operations and Enablement on ways to improve workflow and efficiency for SDRs or AEs, identify training needs, become an expert in the Thumbtack product and clearly articulate why every business professional needs the product as part of their business plan, and streamline the SDR or AE workflow and operations processes. They will also train and mentor current team members and new hires on sales strategies, scripting, and processes, and other duties as assigned or required.
