Requirements

Candidates should have a BA/BS degree or international equivalent, and 3 years of sales experience is preferred. Proficiency with Salesforce.com and HubSpot is also preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with clients across an organizational hierarchy, including executive/C-level, are necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, exceptional time management skills with strict attention to detail, resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome objections are a must. Self-discipline, organization, and ambition with the ability to consistently hit daily and monthly objectives are required. Understanding and the ability to communicate at a high level with professionals in investor relations, financial reporting, public relations, marketing, and corporate communications is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Sales Development Representative Prospector will nurture, maintain, and cultivate customer relationships and success from prospected, inactive, and current client accounts. They will be responsible for calling prospective clients, moving them through the sales funnel, and managing outbound prospecting of marketing qualified leads. This role involves continued outreach to prospects, prior customers for reactivation, and competitors to contribute to business growth. Responsibilities include maintaining a daily activity of 50-75 calls, contacting customers through telephone, email, and social media, fielding incoming emails and phone calls, developing knowledge of the industry and products, communicating the value proposition of Business Wire products, and maintaining accurate records of all sales activities in Salesforce CRM. The role also requires satisfying multiple buyers, working collaboratively, researching prospects, identifying stakeholders, generating interest, creating rapport, managing expectations, and overcoming objections.
