Candidates must possess a minimum 4-year college/university degree and at least 7 years of success in related technical solution sales. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with public speaking proficiency, are required. The ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and perform under pressure is essential. A high level of integrity, quality of work standards, and service excellence are necessary. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required, and home office experience is preferred. A strong technical background in IP Networking and Wireless Data Technologies like LTE, 5G, CBRS, and Private Network Technology is desired. Public Sector, Government, Industrial, and/or Utility sales experience is strongly preferred.
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving Semtech’s Airlink hardware and software sales revenue into Commercial and Publicly Funded (non-Federal) market segments throughout CA, NV, & HI. This includes outside sales of Airlink Router/Gateway products and services with direct quota retirement responsibility, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a sales funnel of direct and indirect customers, prospecting End User Customers, and building prospect lists by leveraging various resources. Daily interaction and collaboration with Technical Sales Resources, indirect channel partners, wireless carriers, and 3rd party solutions providers are expected. All sales opportunities and activities must be entered into Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate product and service forecasts and sales pipeline. The role requires daily data management to foster team collaboration, increase funnel opportunities, drive sales revenue, track customer contacts, and provide reasonable estimates of product needs. Support for appropriate industry trade shows, training events, and speaking engagements is also required.
