Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Malaysia Ninja Freight business unit with full commercial accountability
  • Drive acquisition of new clients and retention of existing accounts across Malaysia
  • Use market insights and data analytics to develop go-to-market strategies, optimize pricing, and drive commercial decisions
  • Act as the lead point of contact for key clients within Malaysia, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention
  • Collaborate closely with Singapore and other regional teams (TH, ID) on cross-border deals
  • Ensure all opportunities are properly tracked and updated in the internal CRM (within fr8labs) to maintain data integrity and accurate forecasting
  • Collaborate with Operations, Solutions, and Procurement teams to develop end-to-end freight solutions tailored to client needs
  • Ensure timely and competitive quotation turnaround with strong value propositions
  • Support complex deal structuring, including international shipments, vendor management, and custom solutions
  • Liaise with regional agents, operations, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of shipments from origin to destination
  • Ensure all SOPs are followed on Fr8labs, including vendor onboarding, pricing, invoicing, and operational execution
  • Resolve operational or shipment issues proactively by leveraging freight forwarding expertise and cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to commercial SOPs covering the entire shipment lifecycle, from confirmation to delivery
  • Ensure accurate and timely onboarding of customers and vendors, and manage all commercial workflows via fr8labs/ CRM
  • Drive system adoption, CRM hygiene, and compliance across all stages of the sales and fulfillment process
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends
  • Analyze competitor and market conditions to develop strategies for business growth
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitive activity
  • Identify and initiate quality business opportunities with new customers targeting SME and large size companies with decent size of logistics activities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies business development plans to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Convert marketing generated leads into successful deals while proactively developing your own pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements, aiming to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments including operation, customer service, finance to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements
  • Find new opportunities through cold-calling or referrals
