Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and developing profitable new business opportunities
  • Pursuing highest potential Sales Leads for conversion into US Foods customers
  • Providing strategic support to Territory Managers
  • Capturing and penetrating high-potential growth opportunities
  • Developing a sound business plan to capture and penetrate market share
  • Focusing on opening highest potential new accounts, sales dollars, and gross profit dollars of all new accounts
  • Producing new account revenue in line with annual targets and quotas (minimum $2 million in the first year, $6 million annually in following years)
  • Researching customer requirements, menu design, and business size
  • Analyzing market trends and competitor information
  • Working with Category and Segment Specialists to create order-guide/pricing
  • Completing new customer credit application forms
  • Facilitating a smooth handover of new accounts to Territory Managers and Sales Coordinators
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with key decision-makers
  • Attending sales meetings and industry events
  • Selective involvement in the SOS process for at-risk accounts
  • Visiting customers, understanding concerns, and adjusting offerings as needed
  • Conducting Customer Business Reviews (CBRs) with critical customers
  • Utilizing Company-approved databases for lead generation and communicating with District Sales Managers on field intelligence
