Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in California; candidates admitted in other jurisdictions with in-house eligibility may be considered
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience with a law firm and/or in-house legal department
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and high-priority legal tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work in office 4+ days per week

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the General Counsel and work closely with all legal team members, internal clients, and senior management
  • Partner with and advise business teams in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements, including revenue share, advertising, terms of service, and other contracts relating to the business
  • Provide guidance in a wide range of legal practice areas, including product compliance, data privacy and security, employment, and litigation
  • Support product development by providing guidance on legal requirements while offering pragmatic approaches to execute on the business
  • Support product launches, including creation of privacy and terms of use policies
  • Partner and collaborate with various business and product groups to enable the business while minimizing legal risks
  • Serve as an integral member of the legal team, sharing best practices that leverage industry knowledge and legal experience, and helping develop the legal organization to meet the needs of a growing and dynamic business
