Requirements

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from a Tier 1 law school and be licensed to practice law. A STEM background, such as an engineering degree or prior experience in a technology-driven environment, is required, along with 6-8 years of broad-based legal experience. Experience in a high-growth startup, SaaS, or healthcare technology company and litigation experience are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Senior Counsel will negotiate and draft sophisticated customer agreements, including international contracts, while monitoring and interpreting evolving domestic and international regulations to ensure compliance. They will provide legal counsel on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, lead the development of internal policies for intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity, and identify and mitigate legal risks associated with product development and international expansion. The role may also involve ownership of additional legal functions such as employment law or corporate governance.
