Requirements
- 10+ years qualified attorney with significant post-qualification experience in employment and contract law. Law firm experience preferred
- Proven track record in a senior legal role, ideally within a large or complex organisation
- Knowledge of US employment legislation, case law, and regulatory requirements, with awareness of specific employment legislation as needed
- Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of employment and commercial contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in collaborating with external counsel
- Demonstrable ability to provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of employment law policies and procedures across the organisation, including development, review, and revision of Global Handbook, as needed
- Advise senior management and HR teams on complex employment law matters, including recruitment, employee relations, redundancy, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations
- Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and service contracts to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation
- Monitor and interpret legislative developments in employment law, ensuring the organisation remains compliant with current regulations
- Manage the resolution of employment disputes and contractual issues, liaising with external counsel as necessary
- Represent the organisation in legal proceedings, tribunals, and negotiations with regulatory bodies
- Provide strategic input into organisational change projects and restructuring from an employment and contractual perspective
- Maintain accurate records of human resource and employment legal documentation and correspondence
