Requirements

10+ years qualified attorney with significant post-qualification experience in employment and contract law
Law firm experience preferred
Proven track record in a senior legal role, ideally within a large or complex organisation
Knowledge of US employment legislation, case law, and regulatory requirements
Extensive experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of employment and commercial contracts
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience in collaborating with external counsel
Demonstrable ability to provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice

Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of employment law policies and procedures across the organisation
Advise senior management and HR teams on complex employment law matters
Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and service contracts
Monitor and interpret legislative developments in employment law
Manage the resolution of employment disputes and contractual issues
Represent the organisation in legal proceedings, tribunals, and negotiations with regulatory bodies
Provide strategic input into organisational change projects and restructuring from an employment and contractual perspective
Maintain accurate records of human resource and employment legal documentation and correspondence
