The ideal candidate will possess proven ability to interpret complex policies and legal language, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, demonstrate proactivity and ownership, and exhibit strong organizational skills in a multitasking environment. Sourcing experience is a plus, as are strong vendor management skills, data analysis capabilities, a commitment to quality and accuracy, and excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
The Contracts Counsel will manage contract administration by tracking, analyzing, aggregating, and reporting on key milestones, incentives, notifications, commencement and expiration dates, and support contact information. Responsibilities include redlining and editing contract language, suggesting alternate terms, assisting with first-level legal review, liaising with in-house counsel, and discussing upcoming contract renewals with department leaders. The role involves contributing to negotiations as a liaison, gathering and entering contracts into a repository system, communicating pertinent contract terms to end users, serving as a point of contact for contract-related questions, developing standard agreement templates, supporting the vendor governance process, and facilitating contract management meetings with stakeholders.
