Responsibilities

  • Partner with business teams to deliver risk-focused, practical support
  • Provide training and guidance on California wage and hour issues, bonus/commission structures, final pay requirements, paid sick leave laws, predictive scheduling, and strict liability matters
  • Manage and advise on EEOC claims and broader employment law issues across the West Coast
  • Collaborate with and oversee outside counsel to ensure seamless support
  • Align external legal resources with internal priorities, deadlines, and risk analysis
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the business, providing practical and actionable guidance on employment law matters focused on HR-related legal issues across California, Washington, Oregon, and other West Coast jurisdictions
  • Manage litigation and ensure compliance with state and local employment laws
