Candidates should possess an Associate's degree in Electro/Mechanical Systems or a related curriculum, or a Bachelor's degree in poultry science or a related field from an accredited institution, with experience considered in lieu of education. A minimum of 1-5 years of related experience is required, along with proven mechanical aptitude, proficient organizational skills, strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Basic computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary, and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred. The role requires the ability to lift more than 25 pounds, work in hot and humid environments, and travel 60-80% of the time, with 30% potentially involving overnight stays.
The Field Service Specialist will manage the Hatchery Inovo Process for Zoetis by executing customer service programs, performing preventive maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment in poultry hatcheries, and conducting emergency repairs at customer locations. Responsibilities include understanding and following electrical schematics, participating in after-hours support, communicating with assigned hatcheries, and completing all relevant reporting forms and procedures. The specialist will also manage the Zoetis Operator Training Program, facilitate vaccine and sanitation preparation, support process evaluations, and collect/report information within the Zoetis Fieldaware System, while adhering to all safety procedures and maintaining regular communication with their supervisor.
