Baker Hughes' Gas Technology team is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join their Field Services Team. This role involves coordinating and overseeing work at customer field sites, providing quality service, and planning jobs for heavy-duty gas turbines or centrifugal compressors. The position focuses on performing installations and maintenance, ensuring equipment readiness, and acting as the primary contact for customer coordination.

Requirements

  • Two-year Technical Degree preferred, along with industry experience and Turbomachinery Product Services product line training.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical maintenance procedures for heavy-duty gas turbines or centrifugal compressors.
  • Demonstrated skills in Functional/Technical, Customer Focus, Communication, Interpersonal, and Teamworking.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation and/or maintenance activities for HGT or CECO equipment autonomously at customer sites.
  • Execute minor/major maintenance of equipment following Service Site Quality Check Lists and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary contact for coordinating activities with the Customer Representative and Site Team.
  • Provide records of all activities to the Baker Hughes Supervisor and foster good team relations.
  • Execute all responsibilities safely by adhering to applicable Service processes and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required by the scope of work.
  • Provide limited troubleshooting on equipment under maintenance and/or installation.
  • Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Core Values (HSE, Quality, and Compliance).
