The Opportunity

Flock Safety is seeking a Product Deployment Specialist to join our Product Deployment team. This team is comprised of results-driven, detail-oriented individuals who combine a strong work ethic with critical thinking to install products that delight our customers and drive our expansion into a multi-product company.

A typical day in this role may involve:

• Traveling to install pilot devices for new products.
• Providing feedback on new engineering hardware concepts.
• Collaborating with the Device team to resolve field issues.
• Surveying, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge drone systems to support public safety agencies.
• Supporting the technical aspects of Drone as First Responder (DFR) deployments, with a primary focus on hardware installation, ensuring each project meets Flock’s high standards.
• Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and external vendors to optimize deployment processes and scale the DFR program.

The ideal candidate possesses prior experience as a field technician, familiarity with product operations, and demonstrated leadership skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Product Development Specialist should be action-oriented with strong field work and problem-solving capabilities.

Required Availability & Travel

• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
• Travel: 80% travel is required. Expect to be on the road 3-4 days per week performing activities such as installation, maintenance, and testing across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Support key field initiatives to bring products to market and scale our Drone as First Responder (DFR) program.
• Perform hardware installation and troubleshooting of various components, including dock systems, aircraft, radar, and other technical elements within the DFR deployment ecosystem.
• Work effectively with diverse teams, including engineering, project management, and third-party vendors, to ensure the successful execution of deployments.
• Monitor and document the status of work in the field and in the lab.
• Demonstrate proficiency with the assembly, mounting, and troubleshooting of license-plate reading cameras, video cameras, and gunshot detection systems.
