Requirements

  • AS, BS, MS degree, military education, certificate program, or current student with less than 12 months from completion
  • High School Diploma/GED with 6 months experience servicing electronic, IT or mechanical equipment
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S
  • Ability to interpret schematic diagrams
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance on basic diagnostic imaging or electronic equipment
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement appropriate repairs
  • Perform planned maintenance (PM), safety, environmental inspections
  • Maintain effective customer relations
  • Follow appropriate GEHC policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation
  • Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up
  • Implement GEHC/customer facility contract, supporting business goals and objectives
  • Assist more experienced technicians on progressive repairs and resolution
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule
  • Maintain approved parts inventory
  • Manage vendor's service delivery processes in compliance with GEHC policies
  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools and test equipment and ensure calibration
  • Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment
  • Meet Health and Human Services, as well as Environment Health and Safety requirements
  • Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization
