Position Overview

Adobe is seeking a high-energy, data-minded, naturally inquisitive, and tech-savvy Account Director with prior senior-level sales experience. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets by selling Adobe’s Digital Marketing product lines to Adobe’s largest customers within the Travel and Hospitality industry. The position involves developing long-term customer relationships and crafting strategic account plans through software solution selling and direct customer engagement. Success in this role requires building relationships at all levels, with a focus on C-suite executives, and effectively navigating customer organizations. You will guide customers in achieving a successful start with Adobe and help them expand the value realized from our solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Account Management:
    • Approach the business strategically, setting a multi-year vision and strategy grounded in value.
    • Proactively identify and achieve sales plan targets.
    • Build strong account plans at the beginning of the year and lead regular account planning meetings to ensure team alignment.
    • Maintain a rolling 4-quarter pipeline, keeping it current and quickly qualifying opportunities.
    • Collaborate with support organizations including Marketing, Inside Sales, Partners, and Channels to funnel pipeline into your accounts.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
    • Build strong executive relationships across multiple fields (CIO, CTO, CMO, CDO).
    • Communicate effectively and persuasively with customers to uncover company-viable solutions from their perspective.
    • Identify and gain alignment from customers on compelling business issues to be addressed.
    • Guide and assist customers in achieving a successful start with Adobe and help them expand the value realized from our solutions.
  • Solution Selling & Thought Leadership:
    • Demonstrate industry expertise, thought leadership, grasp of the macro-economic environment, and act as a trusted advisor.
    • Articulate the Adobe story, unique value proposition, and how Adobe’s solutions align with customer vision and solve business issues (e.g., return on investment of product).
    • Achieve sales targets through software solution selling capabilities.
  • Collaboration & Orchestration:
    • Lead, collaborate, and orchestrate Adobe's entire Ecosystem and Partners to drive outcomes, utilizing Adobe's ecosystem to its fullest potential.
    • Collaborate to drive consensus and action, owning and driving the territory and account strategy, and how the ecosystem will support it.
    • Manage large, sophisticated sales processes internally, involving legal, deal desk, product marketing, product support & engineering, and other Adobe customers.
    • Identify and lead collaboration with external 3rd parties, including tech partners and system integrators.
  • Sales Execution:
    • Meet sales quota and run an efficient business.
    • Advance and close sales opportunities through the successful execution of the sales strategy and roadmap.
  • Problem Solving:
    • Be an innovative and resilient problem solver, bringing forward and leading the charge on solving ambitious and sophisticated problems that allow Adobe to better serve our customers.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Minimum 5 to 7+ years of proven track record selling solutions.
