Candidates should possess the ability to develop and execute effective account growth strategies, demonstrating a deep understanding of sales cycles for complex enterprise solutions, along with a strong commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs to drive business outcomes and foster long-term partnerships. Furthermore, they need to have a proven track record of achieving revenue growth and experience successfully managing up, with a strong record of influencing and aligning with senior leadership, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
As the Strategic Account Manager, responsibilities include developing and implementing effective account management strategies to achieve corporate revenue objectives, directly managing and nurturing a named account list, leading quarterly business reviews with executive-level decision makers, cultivating deep relationships with key strategic accounts, identifying and capitalizing on upsell and cross-sell opportunities, driving revenue growth within the book of business, working closely with the customer success team to ensure customer retention and satisfaction, staying informed of industry trends and competitor activities, working with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align messaging and product fit, regularly tracking and reporting on key account management metrics, and utilizing data-driven insights to optimize strategies. Additionally, the role involves travel to client sites and conferences, typically 20%-30% of the time.
