Candidates must have 5-7 years of equivalent work experience as a project manager, with a solid understanding of various methodologies and frameworks such as PMBOK, Waterfall, and Agile. Strong experience in budget tracking, highly effective oral and written communication, and organization skills are essential. The ability to work independently or as part of a team, balance multiple projects, and be flexible on assignment types is required. A strong understanding of technology solutions and their application in business contexts, a Bachelor's degree in business management, Communication, Computer Science or a related field, previous experience in a technical consulting environment, and experience managing multiple clients are also necessary. Project Management Certification (PMP) or Scrum Master Certification or other relevant certification is preferred, along with a continuous pursuit of professional development.
The Engagement Manager is responsible for allocating appropriate technical resources to client engagements that do not fit a scoped project model and providing prompt support for clients with immediate response issues. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, and understanding client business objectives to align consulting services. Responsibilities include developing project plans, tracking progress and metrics, proactively managing project budget forecasts, and providing consultation based on best practice techniques. The Engagement Manager will also provide role leadership through coaching and mentoring, act as a liaison between client stakeholders and internal consultants, lead execution teams, and perform essential project tasks such as facilitating kickoffs, managing project plans, monitoring resource bookings, facilitating status meetings and reporting, and escalating risks and issues.
