Job Description

Work Arrangement

  • This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta (GA), Austin (TX), Detroit (MI), Warren (MI), or Mountain View (CA) you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Role

The Chief of Staff will be responsible for the management of strategic and tactical business-related activities among senior executive staff. Additionally, you will have the responsibility of assisting in the execution of work-related commitments, presentation development, briefing materials, customer and executive engagement. Given the volume of written materials required as if coming directly from the senior leader, the individual must possess exceptional written communication skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Senior Executive Staff and/or VP within Software and Services
  • Organize and ensure operations of the business (staff meetings, special assignments, etc.)
  • Drive efficient and effective operating processes
  • Develop and maintain multi-year business strategy
  • Manage the portfolio/business planning process
  • Summarize project business cases (deliverables, benefits, timing)
  • Assess execution of business initiatives versus the business plan
  • Analyze and report on key operating metrics for the group
  • Handle a variety of special assignments
  • Develop and conduct presentations for all levels of management
  • Identify and implement process improvements for business management
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to run cross functional projects while solving problems and look one step ahead

Required Skill & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years of project management, strategy, or related business experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft Tools
  • Demonstrated experience with communication to Executive Stakeholders
  • Hands on technical or industry experience within a technology, software development or related field
  • Strong management skills and a reputation for being a team player
  • Ability to work comfortably and effectively with senior leaders and/or officers and administrative staff
  • Experience with developing senior level communication packages
  • Ability to work proactively in an action-oriented and decision-making environment with limited direction and high-degrees of autonomy
  • Reputation for being energetic, bright, hardworking, enthusiastic; willing to offer ideas, opinions, and judgments
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • A thorough understanding of corporate matrixed management structure with a successful track record of navigating within cross-functional teams to achieve desired results
  • Thorough analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to provide insightful conclusions and/or recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Previous experience as Chief of Staff
  • Experience working in high-tech, software or automotive industries

Compensation

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate. The salary range for this role is $127,900 - $200,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
