Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), observability tooling, and incident response frameworks is essential, along with a deep understanding of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other modern security and network technologies. A strong background in network performance, infrastructure as code, and operational playbook development is required, as is a proven track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional operations teams. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is necessary, with a Master's degree or certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CCSP being a plus.
The Senior Director of Technical Operations will develop and execute a unified strategy integrating infrastructure reliability, network operations, and security response, while fostering cross-functional collaboration with Security, Engineering, IT, and Compliance teams. They will establish and maintain a culture of proactive operations, continuous improvement, and operational readiness, leading the SOC for 24/7 threat detection, triage, and rapid response, and overseeing the NOC for infrastructure health, network availability, and performance metrics. Responsibilities include implementing unified incident response protocols, driving capacity planning, performance optimization, and automation, overseeing vulnerability management and patch remediation, and managing technical aspects of audits, penetration testing, and business continuity planning. The role also involves defining and monitoring KPIs for reliability, security, cost efficiency, and incident resolution, and leading root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
