Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in metallurgy/mineral processing, process, or mechanical engineering
  • Professional experience in Capital Sales, Applications Support, or Business Development role
  • Experience with technology deployment and projects in the mining industry or with Mining Equipment Technology and Services (METS) companies
  • Preferred: Experience in Business/Account development
  • Preferred: Understanding of sophisticated capital equipment sales cycles
  • Preferred: Ability to collaborate closely with people at all levels at customer’s organization
  • Preferred: Experience with CRM utilization (e.g. SFDC)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop short and long-term Strategic and Tactical plans for growth of on-line analysis and sampling solutions into the mining and mineral processing industries
  • Drive Commercial Perfection through the deployment of robust business development activities including weekly sales calls, utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and the conversion of marketing leads to opportunities
  • Engage with colleagues and make connections within key accounts, opening doors to new opportunities
  • Communicate bookings outlook to management and the broader organization to ensure insight into performance and timely delivery of products and services
  • Engage and support customers through technical and business presentations, conferences, user meetings, customer seminars, and other events
  • Deeply understand account organizations and develop trust and valued relationships with major decision makers, clarify goals, and reach agreement while maintaining the interests of all parties
