Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-10+ years of business development, partnerships, or strategic sales experience, preferably in fintech, financial services, nonprofit fundraising, or HR tech. A proven track record of sourcing and closing strategic B2B2C partnerships, especially in complex or regulated industries, is essential. Excellent relationship-building, strong written and verbal communication skills, deep curiosity, customer empathy, and familiarity with CRM tools are required. Experience in a startup or high-growth environment and prior work with RIAs, banks, credit unions, religious organizations, or employee benefits programs are considered bonuses.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will own the full BD lifecycle, identifying, qualifying, pitching, and closing new partnership opportunities within key verticals such as financial advisors, financial institutions, charitable organizations, and employer benefit platforms. This role involves building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential partners through outbound and inbound strategies, negotiating and executing agreements, and managing partner success post-signature. The manager will also collaborate with marketing, product, and legal teams, and track market trends across financial services, nonprofit giving, and benefits landscapes to inform strategy.
