Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in development or fundraising for a non-profit organization is required, along with a proven track record in donor pipeline management and securing donations from diverse sources. Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills are essential, as is demonstrated leadership experience. Proficiency in fundraising technology and project management tools such as Asana, Bloomerang, Microsoft Office Suite, and QGiv is necessary. Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply, and a stable internet connection, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work non-traditional hours and travel occasionally across North America are required.

Responsibilities

The Manager, Development Operations will lead the prospecting and acquisition of new donors, corporate partners, and funding opportunities, while also identifying and assessing potential grants from government agencies, foundations, and corporations. Responsibilities include managing the grant pipeline, developing compelling proposals, implementing donor stewardship processes, and overseeing third-party donation platforms. The role involves recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for donor engagement and thank-you programs, using analytics to track fundraising performance, and collaborating with internal teams to align efforts with organizational goals.
