About Team Rubicon Canada

Team Rubicon Canada (TR Canada) is a veteran-led humanitarian organization, built to serve global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Our people, known as Greyshirts, are the cornerstone of our mission and success. We are committed to fostering an environment that embodies the principles of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B)—inclusive of beliefs, cultural backgrounds, job experiences, thoughts, and ideas—across all aspects of our operations.

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Development Operations. You are a results-driven fundraising professional with a passion for donor engagement, corporate partnerships, and grant acquisition who will play a key role in the growth and sustainability of organizational fundraising revenue. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will work closely with TR Canada’s leadership and teams to research and cultivate donor relationships and secure strategic gifts. You will manage a portfolio of donors, grantors and prospects, advancing major fundraising efforts to support TR Canada's mission and goals.

The right person is a self-starter, and team player with excellent oral and written communication experience and skills. Our culture requires individuals foolish enough to think they can change the world and competent enough to have a chance. Every day is a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities. This position can be hybrid or remote with some travel required.

Duties

  • Implement donor stewardship processes and lead recognition events in collaboration with the Manager, Community and Events.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for the donor thank-you call program, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Oversee third-party donation platforms, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of donations.
  • Use analytics to track fundraising performance, generate reports, and collaborate with internal teams to align efforts with organizational goals.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a volunteer team to support donor engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (in Nonprofit Management, Communications, or equivalent.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive years of experience in development or fundraising for a non-profit organization.
  • Certifications: CFRE designation is beneficial.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of successfully prospecting and managing donor pipelines and securing donations from diverse funding sources.
    • Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive proposals.
    • Strong research abilities and attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills to track fundraising performance and engagement strategies.
    • Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in fundraising technology and project management tools (Asana, Bloomerang, Microsoft Office Suite, QGiv).
  • Passion: Passion for the mission and values of TR Canada.
