Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience. Prior account management and sales experience are preferred, as is knowledge of CRM tools. Waste or transportation industry experience is also preferred. Employees must have a reliable, hard-wired internet connection meeting specific ping, latency, download, upload, and packet loss requirements for remote work, and must be available for a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, starting at 8 am.
The Associate Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for commercial and industrial waste services within an assigned territory. This includes making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls to retain business, particularly with smaller, less complex accounts, and increasing customer penetration by selling the full suite of Republic Services products. Responsibilities also include developing thorough knowledge of company services, lines of business, and pricing structures, performing contractual re-signs, responding to cancellation requests according to policy, and communicating proactively about pricing initiatives. The role requires daily utilization of Salesforce to schedule and document activities, capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions, and process customer credits. The Associate Account Manager will also regularly meet with their Sales Manager to review performance and key customer relationships.
