Requirements

  • Competency in business systems: Insight (Contract Admin. & Royalty reports), INvision (Forecasting/Budgeting), SAP (Travel expenses & Purchase Orders)
  • Ability to manage regional licensees and ensure compliance with Disney’s business standards, directions, strategies, contracts, terms, conditions, and labor standards
  • Experience in market analysis, category management, retail management, creative/product development, finance, and marketing coordination
  • Full-time availability for role in Beijing, China (APAC - Brand Commercialization, Global APAC GC/KR, Retail Licensing)

Responsibilities

  • Manage regional licensees: Implement regional category plan/strategy, develop & execute local market category plans, develop/implement/achieve yearly revenue budget, ensure licensees understand Disney’s business standards/directions/strategies and achieve targeted budget
  • Undertake market analysis to meet trends/regulations, monitor sub-categories/retail performance, determine/develop Disney’s segment share
  • Determine category key drivers (franchise, products, price, retail channel) to expand brand presence with retailer needs
  • Contribute to regional category discussions on behalf of local market
  • Identify & contract new licensees, identify product/franchise/channel gaps and fill them, manage contract renewals based on category plan
  • Assist establishment of efficient distribution services, provide account management to top licensees for long-term development
  • Coordinate with Compliance Group for licensee labor standards compliance, ensure thorough understanding/compliance of Disney’s contracts/terms/conditions
  • Identify/develop manufacturing centers of excellence (global/regional), regularly communicate with key licensees and conduct quarterly performance reviews
  • Work with key retail accounts to manage Disney’s product range/presence, develop business opportunities with buyers (product sourcing, mix/range, pricing, new programs)
  • Act as communication link between Disney/licensees and retail buyers, conduct quarterly retail accounts performance reviews/marketing updates, identify signage/merchandising needs
  • Direct product development with Product Developer per category plan and quality improvement, administer/coordinate licensee product approvals
  • Manage category budget & bottom line, provide quarterly category revenue forecasts, collect past due accounts receivable
  • Coordinate with Retail/Sales & Marketing team for sales promotions/events/advertising, ensure understanding of consumer profiles/market needs, ensure licensees implement Disney visual merchandising programs
