Requirements

Candidates should possess a BA/BS degree or equivalent, with over 5 years of relevant e-commerce experience working directly with sellers and retailers, ideally in the electronics, refurb, or home space. Experience and interest in live selling formats are required, along with a proven track record of leading multiple priorities simultaneously with minimal guidance. Strong project management, organizational, and partner engagement skills, including multitasking, are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with sellers and internal teams. The ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the month to meet in person with accounts is also required.

Responsibilities

The Live Category Manager will own end-to-end efforts to expand the Sneakers category on eBay Live, including sourcing sellers, building playbooks, and running launch pilots. They will be responsible for delivering ambitious GMV targets for their assigned categories and acting as the general manager for the category on Live. This includes building seller and event supply, coordinating cross-functional teams, selecting and onboarding new sellers, and conducting business development activities. The role involves defining seller selection criteria, shepherding sellers through the onboarding process, and helping them find success on the platform by coaching them on assortment, live host, production, selling formats, and marketing. The manager will advocate for sellers with cross-functional teams, develop solutions to problems, seed new programs, and help scale eBay Live by building a team of motivated, analytical, and goal-oriented category managers.
