About the Role

As an Account Executive, you’ll work directly with large shipping clients to ensure we gain, grow, and retain business. The role is responsible for revenue growth within a defined territory. The Account Executive is also responsible for maintaining and growing external relationships with personnel from the United States Postal Service and other channel partners, as well as, internal cross functional teams.

This position is remote and requires being physically located in either of the Twin Cities. The territory you’ll be responsible for covers: Wisconsin, Minnesota, parts of North and South Dakota.

Travel Requirements: This role requires travel to client locations - 3-4 days a week out in the field.

About the Team

The Solutions Sales team is growing a highly qualified team of Account Executives that drive both new customer and existing client growth within an assigned territory. The team helps leading ecommerce sellers and shippers fulfill their products using the most efficient and economical path. The role requires the sales representative to be an industry expert in the areas of technology solutions and carrier services. The role partners with Solutions Engineers, Customer Success, and Business Services teams to successfully manage all client needs and implement unique solutions for customers.

What will you be doing?

Increase customer base in assigned territory

  • Outbound prospecting in the field
  • Develop lead sources and channel partnerships
  • Partner with Solutions Engineer to develop complex solutions
  • Effectively position Auctane’s suite of products and differentiate competitively

Grow an assigned book of business

  • Annually increase portfolio revenue through new logo acquisition
  • Prepare strategic plans for top customer annually
  • Introduce upgrades and new features where applicable

Limit managed account churn

  • Develop multi-layered solutions within accounts
  • Leverage field presence to add value on-site
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Manager and Solutions Engineer

Build strong internal and external customer relationships

  • Develop network of champions at prospects and customers
  • Lead the development and success of our customers, referencing their business goals and knowing how to accurately align with them
  • Effectively negotiate issues that may arise

Be an industry expert and advocate

  • Be a product expert and communicate the value in new products/features to assigned accounts
  • Advise customers on industry news, innovations, trends, and best practices

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years field sales experience required (Must be recent, within last 2-4 years)
  • Minimum of two (2) years relationship management experience
  • Proven experience prospecting in the field with successful outcomes
  • Proven experience managing a minimum of 50 prospective customers at any given time
  • Proven negotiation and closing skills
  • Strong communication skills
