Requirements

The Solution Sales Specialist must have a deep understanding of Neogen’s food safety portfolio and food quality and nutritional analysis products, specifically focusing on dietary fiber analysis, sugar and acid composition, carbohydrate detection, and enzymatic assay activity. The role requires strong business development and technical subject matter expertise, with the ability to build relationships with key influencers, multinational accounts, distributors, and sub-distributors. Travel exceeding 50% of the time is expected. Experience in managing business activity and processes through Salesforce.com is necessary.

Responsibilities

The Solution Sales Specialist is responsible for progressing the sales of Neogen’s food quality and nutritional analysis products across the USA and Canada. This includes positioning products in corporate laboratories, commercial/contract labs, food/beverage production environments, and USP/EP-focus manufacturers. The specialist will act as a subject matter expert on competitive intelligence and regulatory changes, represent Neogen at industry events, and collaborate with internal teams on market direction and trends. They will also demonstrate products, support sales opportunities, drive product adoption, and identify needs for FQNA to Marketing, Project Management, and R&D.
