Requirements

Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within a dietary supplement or food manufacturing environment, with a preference for dietary supplement experience. A BS degree in a science-related discipline such as Biology, Nutrition, Food Science, or Regulatory Science is required. Proficiency in business technology platforms including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases, along with strong computer skills, is essential. Excellent oral and written English communication skills are necessary for clear and concise interaction with internal and external audiences. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and an analytical and critical thinking approach with a proactive attitude. Working knowledge of 21 CFR 111 and 21 CFR 117 is mandatory. PCQI and/or HACCP certification is preferred. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

The Temporary Quality Specialist will document and track production, specifications, change controls, investigations, and CAPAs. They will collaborate with supplier quality teams to investigate consumer complaints and track potential issues requiring CAPA issuance. This role involves supporting the management and development of contract manufacturers' quality organizations, particularly co-packers, and providing support during trials and first production runs. Responsibilities include ensuring processes support innovation and commercialization projects, holding and releasing product as necessary, and accurately reflecting these actions in the OLLY ERP system. The specialist will create deviations as needed, maintain quality databases for production lots, stability studies, test results, investigations, and controlled documents. They will also improve current SOPs and Work Instructions while ensuring compliance, and support the maintenance of product specifications through cross-functional collaboration. Partnering with R&D, Supply Chain, and RA to ensure timely QA deliveries and providing support to the OLLY Quality team for business continuity are also key duties. The role contributes to the company culture and enhances the work environment.
